Back in 1964, when local Grafton retailers could not get finance for their customers for sewing machines, televisions, washing machines and other goods, locals Bill and Peter Dougherty established Westlawn to come to their aid.In 1972, Mike Dougherty joined his cousins and the decision was made to extend services to a full local finance company whilst also diversifying into the property sector with the acquisition and development of commercial real estate.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at our head office in Grafton as a Management Accountant. Your responsibilities will include:

Work with finance team to support completion of monthly financials including Bank, AR & AP reconciliations, depreciation reporting, journal posting, balance sheet validations and management reporting within tight deadlines.
Assist with budget preparation, forecast updates and monitoring of actual performance to budgets.
Staff relief for team including other management accountants and corporate support.

Essential Skills and attributes

Understanding of financial accounting concepts
Completed or undertaking tertiary qualification in Accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc)
A growth mindset believing your talent can be developed through hard work, good strategies and input from others
Highly confidential and considered in all matters
